The ABVenture Zone at the University of Aberdeen supports growing businesses and encourages entrepreneurs to develop new products and services. It is an inspiring place for entrepreneurs to plan and implement business ideas, and to connect and collaborate with other entrepreneurial individuals. It also provides a focus within the University of Aberdeen for events and training in entrepreneurship.
ABVenture Zone is an incubation space for new start-up and spin-out companies and is also a comfortable, collaborative working space with state-of-the-art equipment. It is particularly suitable for the development of ideas in the digital and IT sectors but is open to entrepreneurs targeting other sectors.
The ABVenture Zone was originally set up as part of the Accelerate Aberdeen programme, funded through Aberdeen City Council under the UK Department of Culture, Media and Sport Superconnected Cities initiative. Partner organisations receiving funding under the same scheme are Robert Gordon University and Elevator.
